About Jennifer

Using a warm, present and intuitive style, I trust your inner knowing within your process of unfolding and moving through the changes, challenges or transformations you may be experiencing in mind, body and spirit. I am a reflective, compassionate witness and facilitator to that process.  I offer a safe space for your transformation.

My approach is holistic and integrative, with special interest in body oriented awareness, transpersonal influences and mindfulness practices. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Addictions Counselor III and a member of the United States Association for Body Psychotherapy.  I am trained in the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and often use this tool when appropriate. I also utilize Energy Psychology methods, including Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

My primary focus is supporting individuals to come back to their true selves and embody that.  Often in families of origin, our experiences influence us in such a way that we may not have been able to develop a good sense of self and know who we are.  We may have developed patterns to put others before ourselves and in the process realize that our sense of self is not very strong.  I offer not only education but also work eclectically, pulling from various therapy methods to support the process of healing and recovering one's sense of self and working toward your goals in our work together.  I often use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to support what may be stuck for individuals in their moving forward in their life paths, as this is an excellent evidenced based tool.

As an Empath and Highly Sensitive individual myself, I also highly value supporting others with these qualities in navigating life paths and how to manage these sensitivities in the world.

I offer education and support for individuals who have experienced and are recovering from relationship experiences with those who may have Narcissistic Personality Disorder.  This can be a highly challenging experience but recovery can be a highly rewarding self growth experience when taking the initiative in steps to heal, grow and empower ones self.  Again, EMDR can be highly beneficial in working through trauma relative to these experiences or family of origin experiences.  It is my passion to assist you in this process.

In my down time, I am a lover of nature and connect there when I can. I have danced throughout my life, was an accomplished competitive swimmer in my youth and continue to swim when I can. I am a certified yoga instructor, Nia instructor and facilitator of Living Your Dance - Mindful Movement/Dance experiences meeting every Sunday morning, all contributing to my connection with the wonder of the body and the gift of the present moment.

I am thankful for the opportunity to assist my clients through emotional healing work, new understandings, growth, clarity in life's journey and discovering new resources within.  It is my intention to work collaboratively with you in the exploration of your unique gifts and dance of life.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about my approach to our work.

I would be honored to work with you!

Always in the Dance,
Jennifer
